Does "Orbit White" gum really whiten your teeth?

Yes it does. My friend, Dave the Viking, in Iceland chewed it for 45 days nonstop (yes, without eating - he did suck on icecubes though) and his teeth were much lighter. Of course, a few days later, his teeth fell out because of malnutrition. This all happened before the Surgeon General put the warning on the outside of the gum package: "Chewing this gum for longer than 24 hours will cause jaw discomfort and possibly stomach cramps. This is not a food. Do not swallow. If you swallow more than 5 pieces you're as good as de- I mean, you should contact a Poison Control Specialist immediately."
